Windows XP takes unnecessary time saving your settings when really u have'nt made any significant work on your computer. To eliminate the time required for the system to shutdown, following is a very efficient trick. It instantly kills all the processes and shuts the system in very few seconds without harming your system... Unbelievable? But True!! Just follow these simple steps:
1) Start Task Manager (Either by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL Or right-clicking the taskbar and selecting task manager)
2) Click on the Shut Down Men
3) Hold the CTRL key and click on "TURN OFF"
Your system will take a mere 5 seconds to completely shutdown..
